They’re More Interesting Seatmates Than Humans, Anyway

Ooooh this should make flying Air Canada more fun.

Canada’s national airline, that bastion of welcoming smiles and warm and fuzzy greetings is going to allow passengers to bring their pets on board. I quite like the idea, given that a cargo hold in the belly of any airplane is no place for an animal, and the barking of a dog is no worse than the scream of an irritated toddler.

What makes me even happier about this is that it will make the flight attendants crazy.

Air Canada’s in-flight and ground staff are known for their snarky demeanor, their total lack of a sense of humour, and crowd control methods modelled after General Patton. With that in mind, I would be willing to pay DOUBLE FARE to see how they react the first time Fifi the Poodle has a small problem with bladder control in the cabin, or Morrie the Min-Pin spies Fifi and, you know, sparks fly.
