So Toronto made it into world news headlines today. The reason? The Gallagher brothers from Oasis had the dubious pleasure of being assaulted in the middle of their performance during the Virgin Music Festival on Toronto Island.
The asshole suspect went to the trouble of travelling from his home to the centre of the city. From there he hopped a ferry to the island, somehow found his way backstage, then leaped upon Noel Gallagher, knocking him to the ground. When he was done with Noel, he tackled Liam. Only then did security manage to pounce on the suspect.
To their credit, the Oasis boys returned to the stage 15 minutes later and finished the show. The idiot who jumped them was remanded in court and generally bad-mouthed the world over.
